In the summer of 2018, as part of the SVA Type Residency, I created the typeface Sparrow. My goal was to create a serif typeface that embraced the fun of 70's style swashes. I enjoyed learning Robofont and seeing how my typeface evolved over time.  As a lettering artist I wanted to understand how to standardize the fun flow of lettering into a more structured typeface. Below is some of my inspiration, process, and the final product.
